4 Month Shots....OUCH

Today was Tate's four month Doctor appointment. Which everyone knows what that means...second round of shots! I hate taking him to those appointments because they're so happy just waiting, having no idea what's to come. We found out that Tate is now 25 inches long, weighing in at 12 lbs, 4 oz. His height is in the 50th percentile but his weight is still in the 10th. All his food is going straight to the height. Which is just fine!
The Doctor started out his round of shots with an oral vaccine, last time he tolerated it pretty well.....this time... not so much! About half way through, he got a huge frown on his face (if you have seen his frown you'd now its kind of a reverse frown he tucks his lower lip under his top and his chin gets all dimpley) it's the saddest face ever. (Kinda cute though to) - Well the frown didnt last long and turned into a scream. Unfortunately the worst was still to come. I quieted him down just enough to lay him down again so he could start his screaming all over! Not a happy camper. He got two cute little bandaids and a kiss from mom, and soon he calmed down again and fell asleep in the car ride home, then proceeded to take a 3 1/2 hour nap which was right up to his bed time! Yes he'll prob. be awake very early in the morning but better for him to sleep than to be a grump. In the end though we survived the day and just glad it's over.......until next month!!!!
